Deepening Awareness Work – RAPÉ Ceremony

Sometimes, the blocks in our mind and body are very strong. They make it hard to break through the hardened shell of long-held emotions. In such cases, I recommend adding RAPÉ to your awareness practice.

See your life in a new light, release the emotions that hold you back, and come closer to your inner core. With the support of this Amazonian medicine, I will help you open the door to deep healing.

Origin

RAPÉ is a “sacred tobacco.” It is made from powdered Mapacho tobacco and ashes of trees ground into a fine dust. This is a special variety of tobacco, Nicotiana rustica, different from the kind used for smoking. RAPÉ is produced in the Amazon by various indigenous tribes such as the Yawanawá, Hunikuin, Kuntanawa, and Nukini.

They have used this medicine for many generations in ceremonies and rituals. The process of preparing RAPÉ is their special skill and secret. It is a POWERFUL yet gentle tool for working with the soul and psyche. It is an Amazonian gift, which I strive to use in the best possible way in my work with others.

Sacred tobacco is taken through the nose in the form of powdered dust using kuripe or tepi — special blowing pipes.

RAPÉ is not an intoxicant and is legal, but it can trigger strong emotions, especially those that have been suppressed for a long time.

Types

There are many kinds of RAPÉ. Together, we can choose the one that will suit you best. The blends differ in composition (ashes from various sacred healing trees) and can include other plants, such as cocoa. Each has a different effect.

Before the ceremony, you can explore which RAPÉ speaks to you the most at this moment. There are gentle, feminine blends and those strong like a jaguar. Some clear away external energies and what no longer serves us, while others deepen insight and activate intuition.

During the ceremony, you may experience deep emotions, laughter, crying, often coughing or shivers. But this passes quickly, after which we remain in meditation and contact with the deeper layers of the psyche.

My role in the ceremony is to hold the space and support your independent inner process. RAPÉ is a teacher that shows the way and gives guidance, but the work itself is yours to do.

What you gain from the ceremony

RAPÉ opens your heart, clears your energy, and helps you focus on the issue or intention you want to work with. It harmonizes and allows you to see things more directly — “in truth.” It facilitates connection to the source and quickly pinpointing the problem. It also makes it easier to look at inner blocks with love and release them.

I see RAPÉ as a Sacred Medicine that leads us inward, to our core; connects us to our source and expands our awareness. RAPÉ grounds and stimulates the pineal gland (the Third Eye), helping us see things more deeply, from perspectives previously inaccessible. It reveals and makes visible what was once hidden, unclear, or hard to decipher.

Additionally, RAPÉ clears and opens the nostrils, sinuses, throat, and energetic channels. It has antibacterial properties (helpful at the start of flu-like symptoms). It supports meditation, inner focus, intuition, and creativity. It has antidepressant effects and sharpens the senses.

Working with Intention

Setting an intention is important. You can choose areas of your life to focus on and view them from the heart: relationships, recurring patterns, money, or business. Or you can approach the process more generally — to recognize the abundance of Mother Earth and ask this sacred medicine for support in your spiritual growth.

Thanks to RAPÉ, you can deepen your awareness work significantly. It is said RAPÉ helps you hear the soul by quieting the racing mind. It opens the heart, removes masks, and allows you to feel your deep truth. During the work, I facilitate this process by asking questions that ease your journey.

The Work

RAPÉ prepares you for meditation, calms the restless mind, and brings you immediately into the “here and now.” Your thoughts stop wandering. You can more easily focus on your inner sensations and connect the physical with the spiritual world.

The therapist is very important — they act as guide and caretaker of the process. They hold the space, manage the emotions of the participant, and ask skillful questions. They lead the process into deeper emotional layers, breathe their own awareness into the ceremony, and open and close the ritual.

Session Cost and Duration

The cost depends on how much time is needed. Everyone works at their own pace. Usually, the RAPÉ ceremony lasts from 1 up to a maximum of 2 hours.

Step into the space of the heart and allow RAPÉ to help you find harmony, peace, and understanding. Trust the process, open your heart — let’s work together.
