Ajos Sacha – FAQ

The following questions and answers refer to microdosing Ajos Sacha, not the shamanic diet – remember, these are two distinct ways of working with plants.

WHAT IS AJOS SACHA?
The Latin name of Ajos Sacha is Mansoa alliacea.

It’s a climbing vine from the Bignoniaceae family that grows in the Amazon rainforest. Its leaves and bark have a strong garlic-like aroma – hence the name “ajo” (Spanish for garlic). This plant is used in traditional Amazonian medicine for energetic cleansing, protection, and strengthening of the spirit.

WHAT ACTIVE COMPOUNDS DOES IT CONTAIN?

Sulfur compounds (incl. alliin, allicin):

  • Similar to those found in garlic (Allium sativum)
  • Responsible for its strong aroma and antibacterial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory properties
  • Support detoxification and provide protection

Flavonoids:

  • Antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and immunomodulatory effects
  • Support immune system function and emotional balance

Saponins:

  • Aid detoxification, have antiparasitic and immune-stimulating effects
  • May support the digestive system and energetic cleansing

Triterpenoids:

  • Anti-inflammatory, support cellular regeneration
  • Potential anticancer properties

Selected scientific publications:

  • Hamann et al. (2019)M. alliacea extract showed strong analgesic and hypersensitivity-reducing effects in a chronic inflammatory pain model in mice, partly via δ-opioid receptor activation. Additional studies confirm that both alcohol-based and water-based extracts are effective in pain and anti-inflammatory tests.
  • Current extract analyses confirm significant antibacterial, antifungal, and antihelmintic (anti-parasitic) properties.
  • A 2020 study indicates in vitro and in silico antiparasitic effects against Pheretima posthuma, thanks to alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, and tannins.
  • Extracts are rich in flavonoids (gallic acid, catechin, caffeic acid, rutin, ferulic acid, etc.) with strong antioxidant activity.

SPIRITUAL EFFECTS OF AJOS SACHA:

Cleanses the energetic field:

  • Removes “heavy energies” (called hucha) from the body, aura, and surroundings
  • Helps cut off external influences, emotions, and energy vampirism
  • Supports people who work closely with others and tend to “absorb” their stories
  • In the Amazon, they say Ajos Sacha “blows away everything that is not yours.”

Creates spiritual protection:

  • Forms a subtle shield around you – especially during inner processes
  • Protects during ceremonies, dreams, and work with other teacher plants (e.g., ayahuasca)
  • Often used before entering emotionally or socially challenging spaces
  • A curandero may rub Ajos Sacha leaves on a student’s body to “close it to interference.”

Enhances intuition and clarity of perception:

  • Strengthens connection with your inner voice
  • Helps distinguish illusions from truth, especially when the mind feels chaotic
  • Restores connection with the heart and deep inner guidance

Supports transformation and standing in your power:

  • Helps move away from victimhood, confusion, or being “swept away” by others’ stories
  • Teaches setting boundaries – gently, but firmly
  • Strengthens presence and trust in your own path
  • Ajos Sacha often “stands behind you” – as a plant ally and silent supporter.

Facilitates lucid dreaming and dream work:

  • Can make dreams more vivid, symbolic, and “readable”
  • Sometimes guides you through dreams to places that require transformation

WHEN DOES AJOS SACHA CALL?

  • When you feel “energetically polluted”
  • When it’s hard to tell what is yours and what belongs to others
  • When you need protection and support in spiritual work
  • When you want to learn to set healthy boundaries
  • When you feel your inner fire has gone out and you want to reignite it

HOW TO USE AJOS SACHA EXTRACT?

For first encounters with Ajos Sacha, it’s good to take it in the morning on an empty stomach and at night just before sleep.

Hold the bottle in your hand, breathe, quiet the mind, listen to yourself and your body. Take your time, don’t rush. This is a sacred meeting with a great Teacher – show her respect with your presence. You can start with 5-10 drops. Observe yourself. After 2-3 days of morning and evening use, do you hear the whisper of Ajos Sacha? Do you feel you need a little more, or maybe just 3 drops are enough?

After some time, once you recognize her voice, see what rhythm works best for you – maybe three times a day, maybe only mornings, or only evenings…

After a cycle, it’s worth taking a break (e.g., a few days or weeks) to integrate the effects.

WHAT CAN YOU COMBINE AJOS SACHA WITH?

Gentle and harmonizing plants (for microdosing, daily work):

  • Bobinsana – Heart and spirit: opening after cleansing with Ajos Sacha, a very harmonious pair
  • Guayusa – Mental clarity and protection, great for morning spiritual work
  • Ceremonial cacao – Strengthens heart energy; Ajos Sacha cleanses, cacao opens
  • Muna / Wira Wira – Supports physical and spiritual cleansing (especially respiratory tract)
  • Rapé (in moderation) – Works synergistically for cleansing, but only in conscious ritual

CAN I USE AJOS SACHA WITHOUT PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WITH PLANT MEDICINE?

Yes. Ajos Sacha is one of the gentlest and safest teacher plants – her spirit is delicate, protective, and supportive. It doesn’t cause visions or altered states of consciousness; instead, it works subtly on the energetic, emotional, and spiritual levels.

It’s an excellent first step into plant medicine – cleansing, protecting, teaching you to listen to yourself, and allowing you to build a daily, peaceful relationship with a plant.

However, approach her with respect, mindfulness, and an open heart.
